My son passed away from the longstanding effects of uncontrollable major depression by taking his own life while studying engineering at Northwestern. Maine East Alumni have developed a team to walk in his honor at the september 20 National Alliance of Mental Illnesses yearly 5k fundraising event to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of these disorders.
